Ashadha Masam Festivals Dates–
Ashadha is the 4th lunar month in Hindu calendar.Some of the auspicious days of the masa include Guru Purnima, the beginning of Chaturmas Vrat and Shayani Ekadasi.
Telugu year Sri Subhakritnama samvatsaram Ashada Suddha Padyami to Ashada Bahula Amavasya. Telugu 2022 Ashada masam -Ashada Month 2022 will begin on Thursday, 30 June and ends on Thursday, 28 July.
Telugu 2023 Ashada masam -Ashada Month 2023 will begin on June 19 and ends on July 17. Some people think that Ashada month is bad but this is not true.
There is a tradition among certain communities in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in which newly married couple does not stay together in Ashada Masam. Usually, the wife stays away from her husband and returns to her home. There are also many who believe that the daughter-in-law and the mother-in-law should not stay together in this month. There is no scripture backing to this it is purely regional and followed by some communities.
In Hindu Calendar, there are two methods to mark the lunar month. In one, lunar month is marked from Purnima to Purnima (known as Purnimanta calendar) and in other lunar month is marked from Amavasya to Amavasya (known as Amanta calendar).

What are the Rituals To Perform Ashadha Amavasya Puja?
Observe Amavasya Vratham and take a bath in the sacred rivers or ponds or lakes.
Worship Pipal Tree and light up Diyas or earthen lamps. Reciting Mantras while lighting up diyas and worshipping Pipal tree is believed to offer relief from all the troubles.
Offer prayers to ancestors or donate food to needy people remembering your ancestors.
Shiva Puja, Pipal Puja, Shani Shanti Puja and Hanuman Puja should be performed.
