Kaumaram/Sanda Samprdaya is a sect of Hindus, especially found in South India and Sri Lanka where Lord Muruga Karttikeya is the Supreme Godhead. Lord Muruga is considered superior to the Trimurti for this sampradaya. The worshipers of Lord Muruga are called Kaumaras.
Lord Subramaniam is also known as Kartikeya, Skanda, Guha, Shadannana or Shanmukha ( Because he has Six faces) . Lord Subramanya is the presiding deity of “Swadishtana Chakra” which is one of the seven major energy centers in human body. ఓం త్య్రంబకం యజామహే సుగంధిం పుష్టి వర్ధనం ।

Best Days To Chant Subrahmanya Mantra:
It is ideal to chant this mantra on a daily basis. However, one may not be in a position to recite this sloka daily due to various personal and professional commitments. In that case, it is best to chant this mantra on specific days that are considered highly auspicious for the worship of Lord Muruga. This includes all Tuesdays, all days in the month of Krittika/Karthigai, days of the star Pushya/Pusam and during Purnima/Pournami (Full Moon Days).
Best Day To Initiate Murugan/ Subrahmanya Mantra:
To receive the full benefit of this mantra, recite it on all full moon days of the year (Pournami / Purnima) or on Tuesdays.
Best Time To Chant Murugan/ Subrahmanya Mantra:
The mantra should be recited at either the dawn or the dusk for best results.
How many Times to Chant Murugan Gayatri Mantra/ Subrahmanya Mantra?
There is a specified number of times that the mantra must recited. Accordingly it is regarded auspicious to Chant the mantra 11, 108, or 1008 times.
How To Worship?
People can worship by chanting this revered mantra in front of the sacred Murugan/ Subramanya/ Sanda Yantra or before an image of the Lord.
To Attain Mantra Siddhi: The mantra should be chanted 108 times in 48 days (one mandala).
Chant Murugan/ Subrahmanya Mantra Facing: One should recite this mantra facing the direction east.
Naivedya / Prasadham (Food Offerings):
Panchamirtham (also spelled as Panchamirdham, Panchamrutham, or Panchamrit) which is a mixture of mashed bananas, jaggery, raisins, cashew nuts, and dates. Apart from that, you can also offer sweet food items or fruits.
Flowers for Murugan/ Subrahmanya :
Any flower, more preferably fragrant red colored ones can be offered for worship.
Japa Mala:
Rosary beads made out of clear quartz (spadika mala ) or Rudraksha mala or Tulasi mala (rosary beads made out of the bark of basil) can be ideally used.
