Phalguna Month in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka is similar to the Telugu Calendar.
During this month the weather is neither too cold nor too hot. The new change in nature can be seen commencing from Vasant Panchami till Phalgun Purnima.

Ramayana War started on Phalguna Bahula Padyami. The war between Lord Rama’s brother Lakshmana and Ravana Son Indrajith was started on Phalguna Bahula Ekadasi and ended on Phalguna Bahula Trayodasi. Ravana was killed on Phalguna Amavasya. Sri Raghavendra Swamy was born on Phalguna Sukla Navami.

Phalguna Masam, the twelfth month in the traditional Hindu calendar, is observed differently across various regions. In North India, it spans from February 13 to March 14, 2025. However, in Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, and Gujarati calendars, Phalguna Masam begins on February 28 and concludes on March 29, 2025. ​
