Bhadrapada is the sixth lunar month in traditional Hindu calendar. Bhadrapada month is not good for marriages gruhapravesams (Housewarmings)it is considered as shunya masam. This is also the second month of rainy season there many and festivals that are celebrated to overcome the ill affects of the rainy season.

Anant Chaturdashi (September 6, 2025): This day is dedicated to Lord Anant (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu). Devotees observe fasts and tie sacred threads, seeking blessings for prosperity and happiness.
Bhadrapada Purnima (September 7, 2025): The full moon day in Bhadrapada Masam is considered auspicious for various religious activities and marks the conclusion of certain festivals.
Mahalaya Paksha (September 8 – September 21, 2025): Also known as Pitru Paksha, this 15-day period is dedicated to performing rituals and offerings for the departed souls of ancestors, seeking their blessings.
Mahalaya Amavasya (September 21, 2025): The new moon day concluding the Mahalaya Paksha is considered highly significant for performing Tarpan and Shraddha rituals for ancestors.
